Binance Comments on the Depeg of Three Tokens and Announces Compensation Program

    Published on:

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has provided an update on the USDE, BNSOL and WBETH token depegging incident that resulted in the forced liquidation of some users’ positions.

The company noted that it is already reviewing the affected accounts, analysing the circumstances of the incident and preparing appropriate compensation measures. Binance is also strengthening internal risk management mechanisms to prevent similar events in the future.

Also, Binance co-founder Yi He said that after significant volatility in the market, some traders faced problems while trading.

She added that users affected by the platform’s fault can contact the support team to file a complaint.

“We will check your account activity in a phased manner, analyse and decide on compensation. This will take some time. However, losses due to market fluctuations as well as unrealised profits are not eligible for compensation,” Yi He explained.

Also, he emphasised that Binance always takes responsibility for its own actions.

Recall, on the night of 11 October 2025, the crypto market experienced the largest wave of liquidations in history — more than $19 billion.
