Hunter Biden launches ‘LAPTOP’ memecoin aimed at TRUMP holders

    Published on:

    Launch Details

Hunter Biden is set to debut the LAPTOP memecoin on the Base network on September 9, naming the token after the laptop he abandoned at a Delaware repair shop in 2019.

    Token Distribution

The token has a total supply of one billion units. Founders, including Biden, will control 30% of the supply, which is locked for six months. An additional 20% will be airdropped in two rounds: to wallets that lost money on the TRUMP memecoin, to Biden’s Substack subscribers, and to a mailing list managed by video journalist Andrew Callaghan. The tokens are unsellable for six months and will vest over more than two years.

    Burn Mechanism

Another 30% of the supply is earmarked for burning if 30 pre‑specified events—such as a Democratic victory in the 2028 election—resolve in the project’s favor. The remaining 30% will be destroyed based on specific criteria, including the outcome of the 2028 election and other defined conditions.

    Market Context

The TRUMP memecoin, which Biden’s initiative targets, reached a $15 billion market cap when it launched at the start of 2025, before collapsing to a $2 valuation—worth roughly $600 million at the time of this report. Trump’s financial disclosures indicate he earned $1.4 billion from memecoin and crypto deals last year.

    Anvil Overview

Anvil is a shared on‑chain collateral layer built on a programmable letter of credit: reserve assets serve as guarantee—no loan, no interest, while custody and yield are retained.
