on 16-17 October 2025, Barcelona will become the centre of the global crypto community, hosting the European Blockchain Convention 11 (EBC11), the largest blockchain event in Europe in 2025 and the largest in the history of the series of events that dates back to 2018. This is stated in a press release shared by the team with Incrypted.
The organizers expect more than 6,000 delegates and over 300 speakers, including top executives from Bitpanda, CoinFund, Galaxy, KKR, OKX, Banco Santander, BBVA, Algorand, Bullish, Bitwise Asset Management, as well as representatives of J.P. Morgan and BNP Paribas.
According to the event’s representatives, this year’s program is focused on key industry trends, including tokenization of funds and securities, stablecoins, artificial intelligence, growing demand from institutional investors, ETFs, modern L1/L2 networks, DePIN, restaking, user-centric Web3 design, and bitcoin as a reserve asset for companies.
The team noted that one of the most important innovations of EBC11 will be the launch of Europe’s largest meeting program for the crypto industry, with more than 10,000 pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings between investors, entrepreneurs, banks, and technical teams.
“We have seen an extraordinary increase in registration and interest from exhibitors after the overwhelmingly positive feedback from our previous edition,” said EBC co-founder Victoria Gago.

The organizers pay special attention to innovative startups. EBC11 will host the third Startup Battle, the largest blockchain startup competition in Europe, where 50 of the most promising projects will present their ideas to a live audience.
A 48-hour hackathon is also planned, where more than 200 hackers, 30 mentors, and 20 teams will work on innovative developments in real time.
The event will be accompanied by a series of lifestyle activities, including a beach party at sunset, a morning jog along the coast, wine tasting, and a culinary tour of Michelin-starred restaurants.
According to the event’s representatives, EBC11 will be held simultaneously with the Sitges Film Festival, the Sal?n N?utico maritime exhibition, and the CSIO Barcelona horse tournament, which will enhance the cultural and business value of the event.
