The GM Vietnam 2025 conference was held in Hanoi in early August, attracting more than 20,000 participants from around the world. This is according to a release provided by Incrypted.
The event, co-hosted by Kyros Ventures and SSI Digital (SSID) with official support from the National Cyber Security Association (NCA), was a strategic turning point in Vietnam’s emergence as a digital economic powerhouse, organizers said.
GM Vietnam 2025 was a statement of aspiration for the country to lead the digital transformation of Southeast Asia. To this end, the Vietnamese authorities have developed a regulatory framework – the National Blockchain Strategy and the Law on Digital Technology, among others.

The release emphasized that the event was a platform for discussions on regulation, capital investment and the latest innovations, where blockchain was positioned not only as a technology, but also as an infrastructure for the modern digital economy.
Composition of participants
According to the organizers, they managed to gather an impressive lineup of participants:
- more than 130 speakers from leading financial institutions, startups and government agencies;
- over 200 founders, engineers and consultants from Southeast Asia, the US, UAE, South Korea and other countries;
- visionaries such as Nguyen Duy Hung (Chairman of SSI), Truong Gia Binh (Chairman of FPT) and Thuat Nguyen (Founder and CEO of Kyros Ventures);
- other notable attendees included Quynh Le, Head of Asia Pacific Growth at Tether, and Virginie Barbeau, Managing Director of Southeast Asia at Nasdaq Financial Technology;
- the event was also attended by politicians Nguyen Huy Dung, Vice President of the National Cyber Security Association (NCA), Pham Tien Dung, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam and Vice President of the NCA, and Lieutenant General Nguyen Minh Chin, Permanent Vice President of the NCA;

A call for Vietnam’s next digital generation
In his opening remarks, Nguyen Duy Hung, Chairman of SSI, spoke about Vietnam’s journey from a centrally planned economy to a dynamic market economy and called on the next generation of digital entrepreneurs to open the next chapter in the country’s history through technology and global ambition.
Thuat Nguyen, founder and CEO of Kyros Ventures, said Vietnam has the right time, talents and conditions to become Southeast Asia’s next technology hub. GM Vietnam is the place for local developers to enter the global market.
Mai Huy Tuan, CEO of SSID, emphasized the role of innovation in attracting long-term capital, driving real-world adoption and accelerating commercialization.
