Fastex Launches Collectible Banknotes Backed 1:1 by FTN Token

    Published on:

On July 24, 2025, cryptocurrency platform Fastex announced the launch of a special series of collectible banknotes, each backed 1:1 by the platform’s native token, FTN. According to company representatives, this initiative bridges the world of physical collectibles and digital assets, offering users a new way to interact with and own cryptocurrency.

The development of the notes took a year, and each is equipped with advanced fiat-grade security features. These include serial numbers, intaglio ink, optically variable ink, metallic security foil, and a design inspired by the planets of the Solar System. The banknotes can be redeemed at any time for their full equivalent value in FTN on the Fastex Exchange.

“FTN notes represent the evolution of currency. By combining the tactile value of collectibles with the trust of blockchain, we’re offering our community a new way to interact with digital assets—founded on transparency, trust, and technology. The Fastex team is proud to be at the forefront of merging physical and digital finance, and we’re excited to continue exploring innovative ways to engage users,” said Vakhtang Abrahamyan, CEO of Fastex.

In a recent interview, the CEO provided further details about the project and shared insights into the platform’s vision for the future.

Fastex representatives emphasized that each banknote includes key features:

    • Fully asset-backed — Pegged 1:1 to FTN, offering users a tangible and secure form of digital currency.
    • Redeemable and verifiable — Users can verify each banknote’s authenticity through its associated NFT and redeem it for tokens at any time, at which point the NFT is burned. Authenticity is additionally verified by third-party provider Authentix.
    • Unlocks additional benefits — Holders enjoy perks such as access to exclusive events, airdrops, and early access to upcoming Fastex products.

“This was a truly exciting project that brought together traditional currency-grade security with blockchain technology. Working with Fastex’s design team was a great experience—their vision and creativity allowed us to blend the heritage of traditional banknote printing with the innovation of cryptocurrency. Every security feature, along with the polymer substrate, was carefully designed to produce a high-quality, visually impressive product. We’re proud of the result and look forward to seeing these notes enter circulation. It’s been a strong partnership, and we’re excited for what’s ahead,” said Joe Galloso, International Sales Director at Authentix.

The FTN-backed banknotes will be available for purchase by Fastex Exchange users starting July 1, 2025, via the Yo Cash website, following a standard KYC process. The YoCash platform is operated by Fastex Exchange in collaboration with Authentix, a brand protection and anti-counterfeit company with over 25 years of experience in security solutions and over 320 years of combined experience in banknote and security printing.
