Vietnam’s capital Hanoi will host the first GITEX VIETNAM technology event between October 1 and 2, 2026. The event will be organized by Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and KAOUN International in partnership with the Vietnam National Innovation Centre (NIC).
The initiative will be part of Vietnam’s National Innovation Week and aims to develop the country’s technology ecosystem, the organizers said in a conversation with Incrypted. They added that GITEX remains one of the few brands that provides direct access to new markets, investment, talent and partnership opportunities.
“Over its 45 years of existence, the brand has become synonymous with international expansion and collaboration. GITEX exhibitions are now held in seven countries and four regions around the world, including Germany, Morocco, Nigeria, Singapore, Thailand, UAE and Vietnam,” the press release said.
The expansion of GITEX was announced during the GITEX ASIA x Ai Everything event in Singapore. The announcement was a logical follow-up to the signing of a joint declaration between Vietnam and the UAE on the intention to start negotiations to conclude a comprehensive economic partnership agreement and strengthen trade and economic cooperation, the organizers said.
DWTC Executive Vice President and CEO of KAOUN International Trixie LoMirmand said:
“The first GITEX VIETNAM will be an outstanding moment in the digital transformation of Vietnam and the emerging economies of Southeast Asia. GITEX will highlight the achievements, progressive policies, talents, infrastructure and growing ambitions of this young economy, opening new opportunities for business summits between government and private sector around the world. GITEX will bring regional ecosystems to the international technology level. I am confident that the tech world will be pleasantly surprised”.
