The cp0x team launched the Permissionless Interfaces project

    Published on:

The cp0x team has launched the Permissionless Interfaces website, which allows you to bypass the restrictions embedded in the interface of popular DeFi solutions. This is a non-commercial project that aims to make such products more accessible.

As noted by the developers, these restrictions are the result of efforts of various regulators to comply with anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing regulations. At the same time, over the past three years, they have become more frequent, cp0x said.

Such restrictions are implemented at the level of the user interface. They screen users both by geolocation and addresses.

At the same time, access via smart contracts is preserved. However, this actually «cuts off» the less technically savvy part of the audience from applications, emphasized the developers.

«There are various kinds of restrictions on almost all major DeFi products: Uniswap, Balancer, Aave, MakerDAO (Sky, Spark), Odos, Opensea and others», — cp0x said in a statement.

In a comment to Incrypted, cp0x founder cp287 noted the extensive scope of the problem. He said that the announcement of the new service was commented on by many users. According to them, there are also limitations in the interfaces of projects such as Ethena, EigenLayer, 1inch, Hyperliquid, Aave, Odos, MakerDAO, Euler, Symbiotic and most new DeFi products.

The goal of the team’s project is to provide a convenient tool to bypass these restrictions. The interfaces of the decentralized exchange Uniswap and the automated market maker Balancer are already available on the site. The developers also plan to add the Aave project.

You can report about new restrictions on a particular service in the Telegram channel cp0x. If there are a lot of requests for a particular product, the developers will consider adding support for its interface to the site.

The cp0x emphasized that the project is non-commercial in nature. In fact, it belongs to the number of objects of «public good». In this regard, the participation of users in various activities is welcome, as well as the promotion of the service in social networks, said cp287.

«At the moment, we don’t plan to monetize it directly in any way. The immediate plans are to make a repository on GitHub, where more technically advanced guys can quickly lift these interfaces on their computer locally. We also plan to figure out how to prove to the user that this code from GitHub is “embedded” on the interface. In the future, we may post it on IPFS, but it’s too complicated for not very technically advanced users», — the project founder added in his comment to Incrypted.

According to him, such restrictions make decentralized platforms too censored. Project developers are afraid of potential risks, forcing them to implement measures that eventually come to deteriorate the quality of the product, he added.

    How to use the protocol

    1. Go to the website and select the desired dApp:

    1. After navigating, you will be presented with the classic interface of the protocol you have selected. You will then be able to use it without restrictions:
