    The Bahamut team announced a hackathon as part of Paris Blockchain Week 2025

    Published on:

    On April 5-6, 2025, the Bahamut project team will hold a hackathon with a $10 000 prize fund as part of Paris Blockchain Week 2025, which will take place from April 8-10.

    As part of the event, developers will have the opportunity to work with Bahamut’s L1 blockchain using the Proof of Stake and Activity (PoSA) consensus mechanism.

    In addition, the press release says that the April 8 migration to PoSA will take place, «marking a major milestone in Bahamut’s evolution». The PoSA mechanism, developed by Bahamut’s core development team, is designed to reward network members in the most decentralized way possible, event organizers said.

    Validators that deploy smart contracts on the Bahamut network will start accumulating activity when other users use them. More activity will increase their chances of being selected to offer new blocks and receive more rewards based on their activity on the network, Bahamut said.

    Bahamut architecture owner Karen Terjanyan added:

    «The move to PoSA is an innovative development for Bahamut that allows us to empower validators based on their actual contributions to the network, making the rewards system even more decentralized and efficient. This is a big step forward in blockchain scalability and fairness».

    The press release also says that during the hackathon at Paris Blockchain Week, participants will be able to take advantage of the following:

    • bahamut’s PoSA-based development to build secure and resilient decentralized applications;
    • exploring Bahamut’s broad ecosystem;
    • use of Caucasus ‘ L2 blockchain for fast transactions with low fees;
    • direct mentorship and access to ecosystem grants for project development;
    • solving real-world challenges provided during the event.

    Bahamut is also offering a $10 000 prize pool for the best projects developed on its platform during the event.

    «Developers and participants are invited to experience Bahamut’s blockchain solutions directly at booth №78 during the main part of Paris Blockchain Week, which will take place from April 8 to 10 at the Carrousel du Louvre. Also at the same booth will be presented Fastex demonstrating its solutions together with Bahamut Foundation», added the project team.

    About Bahamut Foundation

    Bahamut Foundation supports innovation in the blockchain space through the Bahamut Grants program, funding Web3 projects that promote decentralization, innovation and transparency. Bahamut is an EVM-compliant L1 blockchain that runs on PoSA consensus and rewards validators based on their activity on the network.

    The network runs with the native FTN coin and has passed security audits from CERTIK and HEXENS. Successful grantees include Mutuari, a decentralized borrowing and lending platform built on Bahamut, further validating the network’s focus on real-world blockchain applications.
