Ethereum Ukraine team announced a one-day hackathon ETHKyiv Impulse: Farcaster Frames Edition. The event is dedicated to the development of Frames — innovative interactive mini-applications for the decentralized social network Farcaster.

The event will take place on 5 April 2025 at 9:00, and participation is available not only for developers, but also for anyone interested in Web3 technologies. Incrypted’s editorial team will act as a media partner for the hackathon.

Farcaster is a decentralized social network that operates without algorithmic censorship and allows users full control over their own content. Frames is the platform’s recently launched functionality that allows interactive elements to be created directly within posts: mini-games, polls, NFT mints and subscription systems.

“Frames technology is changing our understanding of social media interaction by rethinking the very concept of a post. We want to give Ukrainian developers and creators the opportunity to master this technology in a practical format,” said Rostislav Bortman, founder of Ethereum Ukraine.

The hackathon is designed for a wide audience: from professional developers to designers, product managers, students and just enthusiasts interested in new technologies.

No prior experience in blockchain development is required to participate. The program includes workshops for a quick start, support from experienced mentors from the Web3 industry, and access to a prize fund for the best projects.

“We emphasize practice over theory. Come, understand, do — that’s our format. And even if you’ve never experienced Web3 before, but are interested in technology — come, we’ll help you figure it out on the spot,“ adds Rostislav Bortman.

Ethereum Ukraine is a non-profit community of developers and enthusiasts united by a common interest in the economics, management, and technologies of the Ethereum ecosystem.
