The Arcium project, which bills itself as a high-performance “encrypted supercomputer,” has joined the NVIDIA Inception Program, an initiative that helps startups accelerate technological innovation and business development, the company said in a press release.
Through this partnership, Arcium will be able to use NVIDIA’s advanced tools to create next-generation applications in the field ofprivate artificial intelligence(Private AI) and machine learning, Arcium representatives noted.
According to the team, joining the program was the next strategic achievement of the company after the acquisition of Web2 competitor Inpher, one of the leading players in the market of confidential computing and Private AI.
Arcium noted that Inpher has been operating in the market for over 10 years and has received $25 million in investments from such giants as JP Morgan and Amazon. Through this acquisition, Arcium acquired Inpher’s key technologies and more than 30 patents for the development of Private AI infrastructure.
According to the company, with the development of artificial intelligence (AI) in various industries, the issue of protecting intellectual property, reducing the risk of data leakage, and meeting regulatory requirements is becoming increasingly acute. Arcium’s encrypted supercomputer allows for secure processing of information in a fully encrypted form, the team noted.
“Institutions that use AI for trading require privacy to avoid disclosing their strategies; healthcare institutions need encryption to protect sensitive patient information; and AI systems need privacy to protect their own algorithms and user data. With the ability to leverage state-of-the-art resources from NVIDIA, Arcium has the potential to become the most advanced technology platform to support Private AI applications,” said Arcium co-founder and CEO Yannick Schrade.
He also summarized:
“A new era in computing is upon us. With NVIDIA’s Inception program, Arcium will become a leader in the realization of private AI. This step further refines Arcium’s technology stack ahead of the launch of our core network. With the support of this program, we will accelerate our mission to bring Private AI to all industries and create a world where data security concerns no longer impede progress.”
More information about the program and the upcoming Arcium public testnet is available on the company’s website.
